Welcome from the Headteacher

Dear Parents and Carers,

I am delighted to write to you as the Headteacher of Cobbs Brow Primary School. I have enjoyed a successful and rewarding career in education and have been teaching at Cobbs Brow School for over twenty eight years. As a result I know the children, the community and school very well. Being a father myself, I am very much aware of the responsibility that my staff and I have in ensuring that the highest standards of teaching and learning takes place.

I believe in creative and innovative teaching that engages all children’s interests and inspires a love of learning. All children are entitled to the best start in their early education. Their individual well-being is paramount and I firmly believe in ensuring that children feel safe, secure and happy so that they can reach their full learning potential. All children have different gifts and talents and from the first day children start with us they can expect an outstanding education and will thrive in our child centred learning environment.

I know how vital working in partnerships with parents is in order for children to find school a positive and rewarding experience. Cobbs Brow has always promoted home school links and I will continue to provide opportunities to further develop this valuable partnership.

All the staff and children are very proud of our school and I feel privileged to be the Headteacher. My priority as Head is to ensure that Cobbs Brow continues to be an outstanding school whilst moving it forward to make it even better. This will be accomplished by building on our successes, achieving our targets within the School Improvement Plan whilst maintaining the high standards and expectations through our warm and welcoming ethos.

I am excited by the opportunity to take on the further challenges of leading the school and I am committed to continuing to prepare children to be life-long learners.
