History

History inspires pupils to ask questions about the past. They will develop knowledge and understanding about Britain’s past and that of the wider world. In Key Stage 1, children will explore famous events, people and places. They will compare aspects of life in different periods. In Key Stage 2, children will further develop their chronological understanding. They will recognise that our knowledge of the past is constructed from a range of sources.
